The UCLA Purchasing department handles all outgoing Subcontracts.
A subcontract is issued under a UCLA contract to a third party for collaborative work. Examples:
- UCLA receives a contract from NIH and issues a subcontract to University of Michigan.
- UCLA receives a contract from IBM and issues a subcontract to University of Arizona.
- UCLA receives a contract from Chevron and issues a subcontract to Environmental Statistics Corporation.
The UCLA Purchasing office also handles: Standard Purchase Orders issued under a grant, cooperative agreement or contract to a third party for purchase of goods or services (i.e. Contract [Vendor agreement]).
