As announced at the March 9th Research Administrators Forum (RAF), beginning August 1st, 2023, the Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA) will only accept proposal submissions via the EPASS Online System.  We’d like to thank those departments that attended the demonstrations and submitted their onboarding documentation to help us reach this goal.

As a courtesy for those remaining departments that have not yet onboarded, a final EPASS Online System demonstration is being offered on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 8:30 AM.  Registration information can be found at

The onboarding process can be initiated by contacting, if you need to submit a proposal to OCGA immediately, please refer to this guide.  Additional information can also be found on the EPASS website.

Benefits of using the EPASS Online System include:

  • The ability for PIs/Multiple PIs, and Chairs/Deans/Directors to review, and approve, EPASSes electronically
  • Validation to ensure EPASSes are filled out completely, and accurately, before routing for departmental signature and submitting to Central Administration
  • The ability to submit EPASSes to OCGA Proposal Intake directly within the EPASS Online System, thereby decreasing turnaround time to create and assign an Institution Number and increasing the accuracy of data capture

As a friendly reminder, OCGA requires error-free proposal packages to be submitted for review at least five (5) business days prior to the sponsor deadline.
