What is a Close Out?
- Projects are Closed Out after the sponsor receives and approves all reports as required by the terms and conditions of the award.
- Required final reports may include the following:
- Technical
- Financial
- Equipment
- Patent/Invention
- Sponsor specific reports
Note: Other administrative offices may be involved in the close out process. (i.e. EFM, TDG, and Equipment Management).
Why is it important?
- Sponsors may impose institutional sanctions with regards to funding as a result of non-compliance.
- These types of sanctions may impact the University standing and Letter of Credit with federal sponsors.
