On or about February 19, 2019, a number of NIH eRA Commons passwords were expired due to a security upgrade. We are just over 120 days since this occurred, and those same user passwords have now expired without warning. As a result, when users attempt to login, they receive an error message which is unclear because it does not mention password expiration. If you receive the error message below, you can simply click the “Forgot Password/Unlock Account?” hyperlink on the Commons login page to request a password reset. In most cases, this will solve the problem. If it does not, please contact erahelp@research.ucla.edu and we will work with you.
