As a follow-up to the presentation at the Research Administration Forum (RAF) on December 9, I would like to provide some important updates regarding NIH Other Support and NSF Current and Pending Support.
Upcoming Webinar
OCGA will be hosting a pre-recorded webinar followed by a live Q&A session on January 11 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM discussing National Institute of Health (NIH) Other Support requirements that become mandatory January 25, 2022. The session will cover the new NIH requirements, a demonstration of the UCLA ORA NIH Other Support Tool, as well as hints and tips for research administrators. See this form to register. Registration will close at 5:00 PM on January 10, 2022. Registered attendees will receive Zoom information once registration closes.
New Tools Available on ORA Portal
NIH Other Support and NSF Current and Pending Support tools are now available on the Preaward tab of the ORA Portal. These tools provide research administrators in each department access to NIH Other Support and NSF Current and Pending Support reports so that they can assist PIs and key personnel with preparation and/or review of proposal and JIT materials. Department Chairs and Deans should use this form to request access for key research administrators in their department or school. Note: only one request form is needed for access to both tools. Due to the sensitive nature of the information in the reports, access requests must come from Chairs or Deans.
Email Established to Request Updates to Proposal Status
OCGA has established an email address, myOCGAdata@research.ucla.edu, for PIs or their research administrators to use to inform OCGA of a change in status of their pending proposals. Please note that status update requests should be from the lead PI or their research administrator. OCGA will not process requests from Co-PIs or other key personnel.
Please contact me at the email below and cc Linda Phung if you have questions.
Happy holidays and stay well. We look forward to seeing you in 2022.
