NIH Public Access Policy

Vice Chancellor Roberto Peccei and University Librarian Gary Strong recently distributed a campus memo announcing the NIH Public Access Policy, which is intended to enhance public access to NIH research. Although participation is voluntary, this policy strongly encourages NIH-funded investigators to deposit their peer-reviewed final manuscripts into the NIH National Library of Medicine’s PubMed Central (PMC) for the purpose of providing a stable, permanent archive of peer-reviewed, NIH-funded research publications to other researchers and the public.
